When it comes to wedding invitations, one of the hardest parts of decision making is picking out the perfect colors!  After that, the rest of the work will lay in the Designer’s eye, to artistically and successfully combine the colors and create a cohesive look and feel.  Here is a look at our Shelley Collection in various palettes.  The Steampunk design can emit different “moods” and reflect different “personalities” based on the color palette chosen.   Seen here, you can observe various color combinations.  Bold and exotic with the use of vibrant coral and purple.   Light and airy with the use of pastel yellow, apple green, and peach.  Vintage and rustic with the use of dark brown and rusty copper.

To make life easier for our clients, we have a Color Chart to help you choose.  Here at My Lady Dye, we offer a wide range of colors to allow you to customize your stationery to a “T”!  You can customize all your stationery details, from ink, envelopes, pockets, and colored cardstocks.   As for ink colors, the sky is the limit, as we can also Color Match to any specific hue you desire.  These custom ink colors are the perfect way for you to really customize/personalize your stationery to perfectly match your unique style and personality!  Ironically, picking colors is hard, but also very fun! Have FUN with COLOR!

Also, it is always best to use your “wedding colors” on your wedding invitation.  This is a great way to visually unify all your wedding stationery and tie all components of your wedding branding together!

Janna and Chet’s Gatsby Wedding in Long Beach, California was filled with fun My Lady Dye stationery!  Their stationery was in classic black and white and in our Jacqueline Collection.  This is one of our Gatsby themed Collections which features a variety of Art Deco font types and bold graphics…all of which exudes Gatsby style!  See My Lady Dye’s Pinterest board for inspiring Gatsby, Vintage Glam, & Art Deco pins!

The Jacqueline Collection was a perfect fit for the Bride & Groom’s wedding venue, which is a “floating hotel”!   The Queen Mary is a retired troopship and it’s not only a floating hotel and wedding venue, but home to 3 world-class restaurants, and is an icon in Southern California.

Loving how the ship’s interior wall decor made the Candy Buffet “POP” with life, color, and movement!  And the “step right up to the candy buffet” sign was the perfect finishing touch to the candy buffet table.  The Bride & Groom also had a Cigar Bar, Gift Table, and Escort Card Table which all featured signage in the same matching Gatsby theme. Their reception tables were detailed in Gatsby style with the matching Jacqueline menu cards, table number cards, escort cards, and reserved cards. The black and white program cards were a hit as well!  The back of the program card featured a sweet thank you note to their family and friends. The Janna & Chet loved the stationery so much, that they decided to have their wedding cake inspired by the Collection!  Loved how the Cake Designer incorporated the graphic and Art Deco font type. When my sister-in-law contacted me about a surprise retirement party she wanted to throw for her Dad, I was thrilled because that meant another opportunity to let my creative juices flow! Time to design her a custom Retirement Party Invitation!  The design started out with a specific color palette of white and red, with accents in blue.   We decided to use blue envelopes to accomplish the accent color.

Her Dad is a USPS Postmaster, so she wanted to incorporate some sort of postal stamp in the design. So, we used  vintage stamp graphics and a vintage graphic border.  Then we added dark red to the color palette to add “interest” and “depth”.  And choosing fun font types is my favorite part of the custom design process.  Many times, I like to browse all the fonts until I see one that really catches the “vibe” I’m looking for.  The mix of font types really evolved the design into a super cool invitation. Who says a retirement party invitation can’t be “cool”!

If your Dad is retiring from his Police job, then we can customize the graphics to fit his job description!  Instead of the vintage stamps, we can use his actual Police Badge as a graphic on the invitation!  Check out all our other fun Event Invitations.

Candy labels staged with WATERMARK 44

Just wanted to share some client photos featuring My Lady Dye Carnival themed Candy Labels!  Many of the labels are for candy jars and some are tented labels (freestanding labels).  The ones for jars are assembled with satin ribbon.  These personalized carnival themed candy labels were the final detail needed to complete her “over-the-top” Carnival themed dessert table for her daughter’s 1st Birthday!  It was a fabulous table, as you can see!  Loving all the fun details, colors, and goodies!  Each label was personalized in her desired candies and goodies.  Even more fun, her choice of wording for the labels tied in perfectly with the Carnival theme!  Her labels read: “Animal Crackers”, “Ringmaster Pops”, “Candy Apples”, “Rings of Fire”, “Circus Peanuts”, “Cotton Candy”, and “Lion Whips”.  Labels are a great way to add creativity!

The labels also matched her color scheme of red, blue, yellow and pink.  I really love her use of striped fabric on the table and the colorful tissue paper pom poms for the backdrop.  And the cotton candy, popcorn, and gumballs are truly reminiscent of the carnival!  These treats bring back so many memories!  Every child remembers their first carnival!  The colors, smells, food, games, and rides!  This is truly a great birthday party theme!  Everyone should throw their kid a Carnival themed birthday party!

Jennifer collection horizontal 9

This fun wedding stationery collection is called The Jennifer Collection! It’s simple and chic, and “oh so fun”!  The Bride and Groom’s soft and sweet color palette consisted of lavender, eggplant, silver, and ivory. The collection features fun whimsical scrolls and we added some contrast with a touch of a geometric pattern, as used on the petal cones.

This collection includes a  wedding program, table names, luggage escort cards, petal cones, tented signage, and candy jar labels.

The program is a double-sided card detailed with a satin ribbon bow on the front side.  The ceremony and the wedding party text is on the front and thank you notes to friends and family and to parents on the back.  There are many styles of programs!

The tented, double-sided table names feature memorable places/locations of the Bride and Groom.  This is a more personable way to address the reception tables, in lieu of the typical and standard table numbers of 1, 2, 3, etc.  Check out more table numbers!

The single-sided escort cards were designed to look like luggage tags, with guest names labeled as “passenger” and each with a specified “destination”!  There are so many fun ways to display these luggage tags!  They are detailed with a satin ribbon tie, so you can hang them from a line of twine or tie them to a favor gift.  Check out more escort card/place cards!

The large petal cones are perfect for the aisle chairs at the wedding ceremony. Tie them to the end chairs so guests can grab one and toss the flower petals at the end of the ceremony!  Each cone is personalize with a special message so guests are informed of the fun activity at the end of the ceremony!  These cones are also available in a MINI size and are also available with or without the hole punch and ties.  You can also use these cones for candy or popcorn!  Place them at the candy station so guests can fill the cones with an array of candies and be off to mingle with others at the reception.  Without the holes and ties of course!   Check out my other cone designs!

The tented single-sided signage was designed for their photo booth and candy station.  These are nice touches to help inform guests.  See more signage!

The candy jar labels are designed to be ribbon tied onto glass candy jars. Candy stations are so much fun!  Check out other candy jar labels!

I can design other matching stationery items such as sticker bottle labels (for beer bottles, water bottles, wine bottles, etc), seating chart, program, place card, menu card, table numbers, wedding signage, and more!  This collection is available in any color(s) of your choice!  Visit my portfolio to see more of my work!  Visit my official website!  And feel free to contact me with questions or for pricing/quote. Jack Daniels 2 staged WATERMARK 5

Instead of “Old No. 7”, try the “New No. 011213”!  It’s an award winning Signature Blend!  The Signature Blend, aka The Savannah Collection, is a unique design as it incorporates wedding and branding by featuring fun twists to the signature branding used on the Jack Daniel’s whiskey bottle label. For example, instead of “Sour Mash”, the design has “Sweet Mash”, and “Distilled and Bottled By” The Smithson AND Braddock Families (the names of both families).  The “No. 011213” represents the wedding date of the Bride & Groom-to-be!  It’s a unique and fun way to BRAND your wedding in style!  See my other wedding invitation designs!

The design features a personalized monogram which includes the Bride and Groom’s last names and their last name initials. “Love and Loyalty Since 2008” represents the year the Bride and Groom met and “Aged and Matured in PA” represents where their love has grown and matured.

The theme is carried onto the RSVP card, as it features an RSVP “Expiration date”!

The Signature Blend wedding invitation closes with “100% Love by Vol., 100% Proof.” The design consists of bold clean lines, scrolls, stars, and florets, as well as, various bold font types.

This wedding invitation suite is available in any colors of your choice and the text can be modified to fit any event (wedding, birthday, etc).  I can design other matching stationery items such as sticker bottle labels (for beer bottles, water bottles, etc), seating chart, program, place card, menu card, table numbers, wedding signage, and more!  See my other wedding stationery designs!  Visit My Lady Dye for other details on my services, etc.

Placecards staged with WATERMARK 14

The Fancy Flourish Collection is a modern and elegant collection.  It is reminiscent of abstract florals with its swirls and circular forms.  See another fancy flourish look in a menu card design and a flourish look in a save the date design.

A client fell in love with the Fancy Flourish place cards and wanted me to design matching stationery for the bridal shower she was hosting. She ordered favor tags, escort cards, “thank you” cards, recipe cards, wish cards, tent cards (as signage) and labels for the wish jars. Her color palette consisted of a bold and vibrant combination of purple, dark purple, medium lavender, deep vintage rose, medium pink and white.  The color combo/color palette is called “Michele”. This is a beautiful mix of colors – very feminine.  See other escort card/place card designs.

Wish cards and wish jars were placed at each table. After the event, the wish cards were gathered and given to the honoree as a gift. These cards featured a simple monogram in the honoree’s initials.  The tent card for the wish jar display read, “Please share your best advice and wishes for the future Mr. & Mrs.” and the tent sign for the recipe card display read, “Please leave your recipes for Rose”.

The Thank You cards were designed similar to the wish cards, with the addition of a graphic border added to the design as well as only featuring the honoree’s first name initial.  The cards are blank so Rose can write her personal Thank You message to each of her guests. Tent cards were used as signage and placed at each accent area/functional display, which included a wine cellar display and a recipe card display.  Wish jar labels were designed to hang from jars in which the guests placed their wish cards. The personal recipe cards were another great gift given to the honoree.  All these stationery items added that extra special personalized touch to the event, as well as seamlessly carrying the Fancy Flourish theme throughout. The elegant escort cards are embellished with 2 colors of rhinestones – purple and lavender. The favor tags also featured a rhinestone detail. Here’s a save the date card in the same theme but different color palette of chartreuse green, hot pink, and black! Browse my save the dates to see many other varied flourish looks!  Please remember that my designs can be done in any colors you wish and text modified for any occasion.  Just contact me with questions or comments or to place an order.
